Blood Pressure Monitoring

We can keep track of your blood pressure measurements for you and provide both you and your Doctor a simple and accurate printed record of your blood pressure and pulse over a period of time.

Would you like to know how to check your own blood pressure? Do you know what your recommended range is? Do you know what makes it go up and down?

High blood pressure (also known as ‘hypertension’) can lead to serious health problems, such as a heart attack, a stroke, heart failure or kidney disease.

There are often no symptoms or signs of high blood pressure – you can have high blood pressure and feel well. Therefore, it is important that you have regular blood pressure checks.

The only way to find out if your blood pressure is high is by having it checked regularly by a health professional.

The following factors increase the risks of serious problems associated with high blood pressure:

  • Smoking
  • Having high blood cholesterol
  • Being overweight
  • Having diabetes.

Warfarin (INR) Monitoring

Therapeutic monitoring.

Therapeutic monitoring of warfarin treatment.

INR has a critical role in maintaining the warfarin response within a therapeutic range, to provide the benefits of anticoagulation, while avoiding the risks of haemorrhage.

Therapeutic monitoring of warfarin treatment requires two key elements to be undertaken if it is to be successful: the measurement of the INR and an interpretation of the result in order to advise on dosage of warfarin and when the next test should be performed.

If you take warfarin, you’ll already know how important it is to keep an eye on your INR levels. Do you need another record booklet to record these? Visit

Lung Function (COPD) Monitoring

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease has become one of the most common diseases in the world and it is projected to be the third leading cause of death by 2030.

According to the WHO 80 million people suffer from moderate to severe COPD. Since COPD is not diagnosed until it becomes clinically apparent, prevalence and mortality data greatly underestimate the socioeconomic burden of COPD.

Blood Glucose Monitoring

Important role in diabetes care.

We play an important role in diabetes care.

Blood glucose monitoring is a way of testing the concentration of glucose in the blood (glycemia).

Particularly important in the care of diabetes mellitus, a blood glucose test is performed by piercing the skin (typically, on the finger) to draw blood, then applying the blood to a chemically active disposable ‘test-strip’. Different manufacturers use different technology, but most systems measure an electrical characteristic, and use this to determine the glucose level in the blood.
